When Fortnite introduced its latest update with Chapter 4 Season 4, an iconic TikTok star appeared in the game, and it is none other than Khaby Lame, the most famous content creator on the social media platform now.
In the "Last Resort" event, Fortnite introduced "The Simplifier" to the game. However, what is more iconic is how his fanboying before now led to this massive opportunity as a playable skin in the battle royale.
Lame has amassed his fanbase and following because of his ultra-popular content, where he simplifies what life hack content online overcomplicates for its viewers.
Khaby Lame, the Renowned TikTok Star, Is Now a Fortnite Icon
The latest Season 4, which Fortnite dropped last August 25, bundled in an Icon skin release that brought the brightest star on TikTok to the Battle Island, with Khaby Lame joining the Battle Pass.
Lame arrived on Fortnite with two skins to offer, alongside a dedicated glider and item that will complete his appearance and drop to the Battle Royale and other matches.
In the previously-released trailer by Fortnite and also shared by Lame on TikTok, the content creator joins the trailer, appearing in person before showing off his animated skin on the game. Lame told Variety that this was a year in the making.
"Epic noticed and reached out to me about a year ago and asked if I would be interested in collaborating with them. My reaction was pure excitement," the TikTok star said.
How to Get Khaby Lame Skin in Fortnite
As mentioned earlier, Khaby Lame is part of Fortnite's Battle Pass, meaning users must buy this pass before looking forward to getting the skin. The Battle Pass is available for 950 V-Bucks, which is around $10 per season.
After obtaining it, gamers only need to play and level up their Battle Pass to Level 70 to unlock Khaby Lame's skin and items.
Khaby Lame and Fortnite
In July 2022, Khaby Lame rocked the entire world and TikTok with his massive career growth and achievement, and this was because he became the most-followed content creator on the platform.
He surpassed the former top-followed social media star and friend, Charli D'Amelio, who previously held on to the title, and now has as many as 161 million followers on TikTok.
Epic Games' Fortnite is also not new to collaborating with real-world artists and personalities to bring into the Battle Island, featuring iconic items, emotes, accessories, and more to match their characters.
Among those featured before was NBA superstar LeBron James, with his Space Jam 2 fit, and Ariana Grande, who arrived via Fortnite's Rift Tour event.
Content creators who have brought massive honor and fame to Fortnite usually get unique skins made from their likeness. It was all under the Fortnite Icon series, a famed regular release before.
Now, it is time for the Senegalese-born Italian TikTok star to take the battle into his own hands.
