'Ted 2' Trailer Is Here, And He's Fighting For Teddy Bear Civil Rights

The original Ted was a huge success, and it still holds the title for the highest grossing R-rated comedy of all time.

It's no surprise then that Universal Pictures and creator Seth MacFarlane have reunited for a sequel starring the foul-mouthed teddy bear with a heart of gold.

That's right: the trailer for Ted 2 is here. Check it out below:

There is a lot to digest in this trailer. First, Ted is getting married. Second, Ted can't actually get married because he isn't recognized as human under United States law. He is, after all, a teddy bear given life through magic. So Mark Wahlberg and Ted hire a lawyer and plan on taking Ted's civil rights case all the way to the highest reaches of the U.S. judicial system, all in order to prove that teddy bears do have souls and thus have the right to marry just like the rest of us. Along the way they make a lot of crude jokes and Wahlberg gets covered in sperm. Yep, this definitely sounds like Ted 2.

Joining Wahlberg and Macfarlane as co-stars are Morgan Freeman, Amanda Seyfried, Liam Neeson, Dennis Haysbert and Jessica Barth. Wait, Morgan Freeman AND Liam Neeson are in this movie? This should be interesting.

The trailer won't do much for you if you aren't a fan of MacFarlane's signature brand of humor, but judging from the success of the first film, Ted 2 should do well when it lands in theaters June 26.
