League of Legends Brings Back Nexus Blitz for a Limited Time—Here’s When

Riot Games is heeding the requests from gamers.

One of the most famous seasonal modes on League of Legends is now coming back to the game, with Riot Games finally bringing back Nexus Blitz for gamers to enjoy again. League of Legends is known for adding various game modes that are available for a limited time only, and some go on a rotational basis for when they return to the MOBA for the world to enjoy.

Nexus Blitz remains one of the most requested game modes for League of Legends to bring back, with the team finally fulfilling this for all to experience yet again.

The League of Legends team has provided a dev update that brought significant news to League gamers, and one of them is the return of Nexus Blitz, a beloved game mode that gamers have frequently requested from the company.

Nexus Blitz was first introduced in 2018, and it has been well-accepted by gamers since then despite being an experimental mode only. This joins the likes of Ultra-Rapid Fire (URF), Oddysey: Extraction, Overcharge, Black Market Brawlers, and more.

Some game modes have been in regular rotation since it was previously introduced by the League, but others have been absent from the rotations, including the fan-favorite Nexus Blitz.

It was initially promised back in 2022, but Riot has failed to deliver it. Now, it is looking to bring back this promise and fulfill the awaited game mode coming to the game.

Here's When to Access Nexus Blitz

According to the developer's update, the Nexus Blitz game mode would arrive this October 2023 for gamers to enjoy but did not specify the exact release date of this experience.

It is worth noting that League of Legends has two slated patch releases this October, either by October 11 or by October 25. Either of these dates may be the target for Nexus Blitz to go live on the platform and would stay for five weeks before being removed again.

League of Legends' Legacy

One of the longest-surviving MOBA (multiplayer online battle arena) games in the world is Riot Games' League of Legends, and despite the title being an old game now, the developers have ensured to develop and update it to modern standards. Another revamp coming soon for all is how the minions or creeps will get an update, one that will bring a different kind of experience for various needs like gold or experience mining.

Of course, League of Legends does not skimp out on adding new characters, a.k.a. Champions, to the game, but this does not mean that it forgets to update the legacy ones that it had since it started. Sivir is getting its much-awaited update, one that would make the Champion more iconic and relevant in today's gaming age, after being left alone for years.

Many gamers miss what League of Legends has to offer, with the first three seasons being the crowd favorite as it stayed true to what it offered before. However, times are changing and experiences are varying.

There are still past experiences that gamers are looking for, including the Nexus Blitz, one that is making a comeback this October, giving gamers five weeks to enjoy it.
