Santa Cruz Bicycles is a company based in California that has long been known for its high-end mountain and gravel bikes. With that, the company is launching a new electronic bike called Skitch which is lightweight compared to most eBikes in the market.
Santa Cruz Bicycles Enter the eBike Market with the Introduction of the Skitch Options
According to the story by New Atlas, the eBike market is already flooded with multiple eBikes with most of them might not look as sleek or might be heavier than regular bikes. Weight has long been an issue for electric bicycles which is why a lightweight device can be very beneficial for users.
Santa Cruz Bicycles is mostly known for its gravel bikes as well as high-end mountain bikes. Aside from the pedigree, the Skitch would be available in a certain configuration with a drop-bar gravel with another option available for a flat-bar city version.
It was noted that both options for the eBike come with a fork and frame that are fully made out of carbon fiber. The bike weighs just a little over 30 lbs but this still depends on the specifications and other additions to the bike.
Two Versions Come with the Fazua Ride 60 System and Other Specs
It was noted that the two versions available come with a Fazua Ride 60 system, as also noted in an article by Bike Rumor, which is a unique approach that produces 60 Nm of torque from its unique battery. The eBike comes with a 430Wh lithium-ion battery.
The setup would allow the rider to pedal up to 28 mph while having a 60-mile range on a single charge. The two choices that buyers can choose from include the SRAM Apex as well as the GX AXS build depending on the buyer's preference.
When it comes to the Apex build, it would come with a 10 to 50t cassette along with the 1 x 2 Apex Eagle drivetrain. The build comes with Apex gravel with Avid Centerline rotors that come with S-30 hydraulic disk brakes flat bar.

Other additions to the eBike include the WTV Silverado Medium saddle and 700 x 45 tires. Specifically, the bikes would be packing the Schwalbe G-One Overland as their choice of tires with rim clads being the WTB EZR.
The GX AXS build upgrades include the same cassette but with the GX Eagle AXS drivetrain with Level Silver Stealth SRAM Paceline rotors and other additions. The eBikes will also be adding the Rival AXS gravel and rims being the Easton ARC 25 Offset.
When it comes to frame sizes, buyers would be able to choose from four options but all of them come in just one color, the olive green version. The Apex Flat Bar would cost $5,999 which is the company's most affordable option.
Other options include the Apex Gravel which costs $6,299 or the GX AXS builds which cost $7,299.
