According to the story by GSM Arena, the Sony Xperia 5 V comes exactly a year after the debut of its earlier model, the Xperia 5 IV. The launch of the Xperia 5 V is expected to come with its own live stream as seen in a teaser for the smartphone.
The teaser, as seen on YouTube, announces that the phone's camera quality when it comes to taking shots during the day and at night is one of the device's main advantages. As seen in a leaked promo video a month earlier, the camera setup of the new device was revealed.
It was seen that the Sony Xperia 5 V would be carrying a dual camera setup. As for other specs like its chipset, the smartphone is confirmed to be carrying the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
Confirmed Specs Include the Device Coming with 16 GB of RAM and 33W Fast Charging
As seen in a Geekbench listing, the smartphone would also come with 16 GB of RAM. This wasn't the only detail revealed ahead of the launch as China's 3C agency confirmed that the device got a 33W fast charging certification.
In that listing, it was highlighted how the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 that the device would be using is reportedly based on the TSMC 4nm manufacturing process. This comes as the smartphone features different types of cores at different speeds reaching 3.36 GHz maximum.
The Device Also Packs Eight Cores with Varying Performances
As listed, the device comes with a 3.36GHz clock speed 1x Cortex-X3 Super Core. It also comes with two each of the Cortex-A715 as well as the Cortex-A710 P-Cores, which are capable of reaching clock speeds of 2.8 GHz.
The last type of cores to be included in the smartphone are the 3x Cortex A510 E-Cores, which can reach the speed of 2.0 GHz when clocked. When it comes to the device's chipset's performance, it's capable of reaching 1,439 points for Single-Core and has a Multi-Core performance of 5,071 points.
Fans Can Also Spot the Devie by Its Model ID 'Sony XQ-DQ72'
As seen on its Geekbench listing, the device would come with the Model and Model ID "Sony XQ-DQ72" and will come with an Android 13 operating system. As for its motherboard, the smartphone would be packing the "kalama."
