A few months ago, Sony confirmed that it was developing the newest pair of wireless gaming earbuds. This week, the company released some details about the audio products.
The PlayStation Pulse Explore is something that's worth looking at right now, but its whopping price of $199.99 will make you think twice if it's worth your penny.
PlayStation Unveils Pulse Explore Buds
Investing in great gaming earbuds is always a must whether you're a casual or competitive player. However, that is not always the case for people who are looking for an affordable accessory.
According to The Verge, PlayStation has unveiled some important details about its recently launched Pulse Explore earbuds which offer low-latency performance and lossless audio quality.
For a retail price of $199.99, this PlayStation-branded wearable is something to behold. Its premium price can leave a lasting impression on the buyer that it offers more than just a mic and a charging case.
The gaming console brand boasts that all you can feel in using Pulse Explore is a "premium portable audio experience. It also mentions that it's capable of canceling unnecessary noises in the background thanks to AI-enhanced noise rejection.
According to Sony's Hideaki Nishino, the whole organization is pleased to announce that they are one of the first companies to introduce wireless earbuds with planar magnetic driver tech in the market.
PlayStation Also Brings Pulse Elite Wireless
Aside from the Pulse Explore, Sony's PlayStation has teased another audio product in the lineup. According to IGN, the firm is also bringing Pulse Elite wireless headset which also has AI-enhanced noise rejection.
On top of that, the Pulse Elite has a charging mount and retractable boom mic. It's cheaper than the previously-mentioned accessory since it only costs $149.99.
With Sony now gearing up for the upcoming launch of these two audio accessories, gamers need to explore first the PlayStation Link before they purchase either one or both of them.
The technology is built into the Portal remote player and to enable it, you will need a PS5 dongle.
Some reports claim that we could potentially see this feature work with the rumored PS5 Slim which is touted to be cheaper than the base PlayStation 5 console.
Speaking of PS5 Slim, recent rumors claimed that it might hit $500 upon release. While it's interesting to know that it will be a smaller version of the 2020 console, we can only hope that its performance boost won't be in vain.
Take the news about PS5 Slim with a grain of salt since Sony has not yet issued an official statement regarding its launch, specs, and other details.
