First Leaked Images of Lenovo Legion Go Gaming Handheld Making Rounds Online

Could this be the next Steam Deck competitor?

Lenovo appears to be game-ready as it allegedly teases its upcoming handheld console that can go on par with Valve's portable PC.

As released by Windows Report, the leaked images of the gaming machine sport some similarities with the Nintendo Switch and Steam Deck. It's like playing into two different worlds.

Let's take a look at the design of the Legion Go and how it is different from the existing consoles in the market.

Lenovo Legion Go's First Leaked Images

New photos showing Lenovo Legion Go handheld at first glance have finally appeared.

Lenovo excels in producing top-notch smartphones and laptops. All we know is that the company will only stick to its usual products. However, several rumors claim that it's not stopping from here as it prepares to launch its first-ever gaming handheld dubbed "Legion Go."

Based on the images from Windows Report, Lenovo's handheld gaming console borrows some inspiration from the Switch's design.

Every Switch owner will think that it's quite the same console given the presence of the Joy-Con-like accessories. Apparently, its screen looks like a touchscreen, judging from its removable controllers.

On top of that, ASUS Rog Ally's button placements are also seen in this device. That's not all since you will notice the usual trackpad from Steam Deck.

According to The Verge, Lenovo might have plans to make Legion Go a thick gaming device. With the likes of Ayaneo Kun having big batteries, it's not possible if Lenovo will take the same path to avoid mediocre battery life.

Legion Go Believed to Have Ryzen 7040 Phoenix Chipset

Another report by GSM Arena points out that the Lenovo Legion Go console will boast a Ryzen 7040 Phoenix processor from AMD. If that is true, it could have been one of the most powerful gaming machines to grace the land.

Sporting an 8-inch display, the Legion Go features the usual buttons we can see in a typical console including the volume, power, headphone hack, microSD slot, and more.

From the looks of it, Lenovo won't shy away from adding a USB-C port on the top part of the device. Interestingly, it is also rumored to have an extra USB-C port apart from the main one.

For its rear part, it seems to have a heat exhaust and a built-in kickstand that goes normal under Legion's branding. Additionally, the M1 and M2 shoulder buttons are also present on the sides of the console.

Besides, the M3 and M4 buttons can be found on the right controller. At the same time, we can also see the scroll wheel in its amazing position.

Meanwhile, the Y1 and Y2 buttons are spotted in the left controller. These buttons could be remapped just like any other component.

As of writing, Lenovo has not yet mentioned Legion Go's refresh rate or resolution.

If the purported images spreading online are real, then Lenovo means serious business for gamers. It once featured a "LaVie Mini" concept back in 2021 during CES. This might be the right time to release a Switch-like console soon.
