Rumored LEGO Fortnite Crossover Could Drop in xx.00 Update: Minifigs in FPS Mode?

Find out more about the LEGO x Fortnite collaboration.

There's a leak going around about a potential LEGO Fortnite crossover and how massive it will be. It's important to note that this crossover doesn't mean Fortnite characters getting their own minifigs but rather LEGO minifigs becoming playable characters in the popular Fortnite title.

LEGO to Collaborate with Fortnite to Bring the Real World Toys to the Game

According to the story by Game Rant, a brand new rumor says that there could be a new LEGO x Fortnite crossover and that it'd be bigger than players ever expected. This crossover would see Fortnite get characters from LEGO.

To clarify, the collaboration has already been officially announced but the leak focuses on the scale of this collaboration. As per the rumor, the launch of this particular partnership could potentially be bigger than other collaborations the game had in the past.

The Idea Includes Players Buying Physical Products Which Then Appear in the Game

The announcement was given by Epic Games and the Danish toy manufacturer in June 2023 after months of continuous rumors and leaks regarding the game actually happening. However, the company didn't really go into much detail when it came to explaining what this particular team-up would come with.

Despite the lack of detail, both companies have reportedly confirmed that one of the possibilities that could happen with the collaboration would be the utilization of the Metaverse. With that, the players would be able to scan real-world LEGO creations and somehow bring them into the world of Fortnite.

Twitter, X, Leaker Reveals the Collaboration Could be Larger than Initially Expected

This resulted in some gamers comparing this particular approach to what happened with Activision when it had the same technique with its Skylanders franchise. The toys-to-life approach did the same thing, wherein players had to purchase a physical product in order to upload the toy to the game.

The leak was given by Shiina, a famous leaker of Fortnite content, who recently revealed new information regarding The Apparatus stages on Twitter, or X. The post highlighted that the upcoming v27.00 update might not be included in the Chapter 4 Season 5 update as gamers initially expected.

The Leak Also Comes With Support from Two Other Fortnite Leakers

However, because of the scale of the feature, it could be understandable that the collaboration and new approach would come out a bit later. Instead, players might be able to get multiple LEGO event takeovers when it comes to the popular battle royale shooter.

It was noted that the event would reportedly include numerous content while still being classified as a continuation of the game's Season 4. Despite that, Shiina does reveal two sources for the leak, saying it comes from two other reliable Fortnite leakers, namely Andre and Wenso.

It was then noted that the collaboration could happen in December after players would get an in-game event toward the end of November. It was then noted that Shiina said they were still non-committal toward the release of the potential LEGO crossover.
