Elon Musk Believes Tesla Vehicles Have a 'Mind' After Figuring AGI Aspects

Tesla may have already figured out some aspects of artificial general intelligence.

Tesla cars might have already "figured out some aspects of AGI," according to Elon Musk. Because of this, the business tycoon believes that they have "a mind" of their own.

As automation evolves, more vehicles are receiving huge upgrades. With the likes of Tesla EVs in the market, Musk claims that the company's true worth is devoted to self-driving.

By late 2023, Musk says that the company will achieve full self-driving capability to their vehicles. While this is viable, it's still hard to say if Tesla can really hit its goal after a few months.

According to Electrek, the Tesla community still remains divided because some people think that the company over-delivers its promises. However, there are doubters who believe that all Tesla does all year long is to miss its deadlines.

As seen on X, the rebranded version of Twitter, Musk's fans are expecting to see the goodness within Tesla's FSD beta.

For Musk, the EV firm is progressing at a pace where its Tesla cars have already figured out some aspects of artificial general intelligence or AGI.

"I think we may have figured out some aspects of AGI. The car has a mind. Not an enormous mind, but a mind nonetheless," the business magnate claims.

Speaking of the self-driving program, the tech billionaire sticks to his words that Tesla's strength lies in FSD if it wants to achieve AGI.

Tesla uses a more unique approach when it comes to self-driving. Musk believes that there's a way to autonomously drive a vehicle just like a common take to an Optimus robot.

While some people are skeptical about Musk's statement about Tesla vehicles having a mind, it's not easy to ignore that the FSD beta could sometimes act like a first-time 14-year-old driver, according to Electrek.

Tesla Y Fatal Crash

According to Forbes, authorities are currently investigating Tesla's recent fatal crash. The report suggests that the accident is linked to its autopilot system.

Since 2016, the automaker has been involved in 35 car crashes. Regulators blamed that the automated driving system is the culprit behind the accidents.

The investigation of National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) regarding the Tesla Model Y crash took place last July 19 in Warrenton, Virginia.

At that time, authorities reported that the driver died on the spot after the car hit the tractor-trailer truck.

Meanwhile, the probe concluded that the driver of the tractor trailer was reckless in driving.

While the improved Tesla Autopilot might be safe when put to good use, it's still not guaranteed to work anytime. If that's the case, the company needs to evaluate and run a test for the system.

Although the car is being autonomously operated, Tesla reminds the drivers that the system still requires "active human supervision" for safety.
