AMD Launches Ryzen 5 7500F — Its Most Affordable 6-Core CPU Right Now!

AMD has quietly launched a new processor.

AMD has quietly launched a new processor, the Zen 4-based Ryzen 5 7500F, which was referred to as one of its most affordable chips based on the Zen 4 architecture. AMD's Ryzen 5 7500F, a six-core CPU without integrated graphics, has a price tag of $179.

AMD Ryzen 5 7500F Debuted in China and Comes With L3 Cache Worth 32 MB

According to Tom's Hardware, the AMD Ryzen 5 7500F initially debuted in China, with the company listing it on its product page for global availability. It means it could also expand to other regions.

So far, the Ryzen 5 7500F processor would come to other AMD AM5 platforms to make it more accessible to gamers who want future upgrades but lack sufficient budgets. As such, the CPU is a six-core processor capable of a 3.70 GHz base clock and a 5,0 GHz maximum boost clock.

The CPU reportedly features 6 MP of L2 cache in total and 32MB of L3 cache. The processor also comes with a reported dual-channel DDR5 memory subsystem that was supportive of the DDR5-5200 and capable of handling higher data transfer rates.

GPU Comes With 28 PCIe Gen5 Lanes With Different Ones Used for Different Purposes

Higher data transfer rates can happen, especially when it comes to being used with modules that support AMD's EXPO profiles. The CPU comes at a rate of 65W TDP and comes with a clock multiplier, making it harder to be overclocked easily.

It was also reported that people who want to overclock their CPUs can choose another processor, the Ryzen 5 7600X, which comes at a $299 MSRP and is considered one of the best processors when it comes to gaming. The Ryzen 5 7500F was also noted to have many similarities with the other 7000-series CPUs released to date.

The Ryzen 5 7500X comes with 28 PCIe Gen5 lines, where four are used for chipset connection, another four are used for M.2 SSD with PCIe 5.0 x4 interface, and 16 of them would be used for GPUs and other types of components demanding bandwidth.

Ryzen 7000-Series CPUs Designed for Office Workloads and Troubleshooting

When it comes to graphics, it was reported that the "F" letter in the model implies that the CPU does not come with integrated graphics. That means users would need a standalone graphics card.

It was also reported how the integrated GPUs available for Ryzen 7000-series CPUs were designed for office workloads and troubleshooting. Because of this, these graphics cards might not be as attractive to gamers.

The Ryzen 5 7500F will reportedly be sitting below the Ryzen 5 7600, which costs $208 and comes with a bit of improvement in terms of performance for $50 more. However, a more affordable CPU would be the AMD Ryzen 5 5600, which costs $116.

AMD's Ryzen 5 7500F will initially be launched in China and some other Asian countries. However, the company's website indicates the availability of the CPU as "global." Thus, AMD could release it in other parts of the world in the upcoming months.
