FlexiSpot BS7 Review - A Cloud on Wheels with Some Incredible Features

It can be quite difficult to look at something as simple as an office chair critically, as if it can sit a person comfortably it does its job as a product. But FlexiSpot's BS7 goes a bit further in this regard, leveraging two height-adjustable arm rests, an adjustable backrest, and one of the comfiest seats I have ever sat in.

To start, I was immediately thrown off by the fact that the BS7 doesn't come with any traditional paper directions in the box. There's probably some form of directions to help build the chair online, but you don't need them. I think that's arguably one of the most brilliant aspects behind the BS7, as it's one of the easiest builds I've ever done. It took me maybe twenty minutes in total to fully build the chair, so don't get stressed when yours is missing directions - it's incredibly easy.

Beyond the simplicity of its build process, the chair itself also comes equipped with a slew of additional features that make it great for those looking for the most form-fitting seating arrangement. Almost every aspect of the BS7 is adjustable, which includes its seat cushion, tilting angle, sitting height, backrest height, and even the backrest's tilt tightness.

BS7 proves aesthetics and function can go together like glue.

That's right, users can spend hours customizing exactly how they like the chair's arrangement down to the chair's arm rests. I'm not sure if it would be better to have a FlexiSpot desk too or not, but I will say it's hard for me to orient the chair with my current L desk. More of a me problem than a chair problem, but it's important to know if your desk and chair work well together.

Looking past all of its adjustable features, it simply feels like a cloud in its comfort levels. A friend of mine came over this past weekend and noticed the chair automatically. Aesthetics alone are on point, but when he sat in the chair he couldn't be more impressed. That's the brilliance as seen in the BS7. The fact that almost every detail was taken into account should be proof enough in its quality.

But that doesn't mean the BS7 is without any downsides. For one, the height adjustable arm rests are far too janky. I understand that given the rails the arm rests are on, it makes them a bit shaky and unstable, but there's got to be a way to make these move less after being locked in place. It's a byproduct of their intuitiveness, but it's a major compliant I have. It's annoying that the arm rest keeps shaking and moving when I would like it to be a bit more firm and stable.

Although aesthetic in nature, I do wish the BS7 came in black, or at least a darker shade of color. Not everyone is going to want a full white chair, especially those that are prone to being a bit messy or known to eat at their desk regularly. It's not a major complaint, but it's certainly one that should be addressed.

The question, then, is: should you buy the BS7? Does it enlist enough of an upgrade and a proven comfort level over your current office chair offering? At $329, the BS7 is quite a steep ask, but it's certainly a worthy investment. Incredibly comfortable, full of amazing adjustable features, and aesthetically pleasing to boot, the BS7 is one of the few office chairs around that I can't get enough of. It's an easy nine out of ten for me.

The BS7 has some incredible functions, like an adjustable backrest for the best possible comfort.

While you might gawk at the price point, you have to also take into account rivals like that of Herman Miller and Haworth, chairs of which can cost as much as $1,000 (often far more). This should paint a picture of where FlexiSpot is in its delivery, keeping even some of its most brilliant products relatively cost-effective and less expensive, which can't be said of others in the space.

Whether you're in the market for a brand new office chair, or looking to upgrade your office space with a whole new set of furniture, the BS7 is a worthy inclusion. At its price, you don't really need to go any higher, and the feature-rich platform allows you to find the very best level of comfort possible. It's hard not to love it.
