Reports indicate that users are seeing messages such as "Something went wrong. Try reloading" and "Sorry, you are rate limited. Please wait a few minutes, then try again" when conducting searches on Twitter.

Over the weekend, some users vented their disappointment on the platform after repeatedly seeing the familiar error flashing on the screen. It could mean that they have already hit the max limit that Twitter set for the tweets, per Insider Paper.

The Twitter downtime may be caused by the latest changes that Elon Musk's team implemented. Before, viewing tweets did not require signing in to your account, but that does not work now anymore with the latest update.

According to Musk, this is happening because the microblogging platform is flooded with unnecessary accounts. To scrape off these questionable activities, Twitter immediately addressed the problem, but it only contributed to the heavy traffic of the users.

How to Access Tweets or Articles on Twitter

If you don't have a Twitter account and want to look for a tweet, you will be required to create a new one. If you already have an account, just log in right away to get started.

This is because an unregistered user will be forced to make an account if he/she attempts to view content.

As for the current issue, DownDetector, a website that tracks online service outages, reported that the problem began at 5:52 PM.

The Sun wrote that more than 2,000 users were complaining about the Twitter outage.

Twitter has not released any official information regarding the cause of these problems, but it is expected that the platform is actively working to resolve them soon.

In the meantime, users are advised to remain patient and try again later if they encounter the "Rate Limit Exceeded" error. It is crucial to understand that these intermittent issues are not limited to specific regions but are affecting users worldwide.

As Twitter addresses these challenges, they aim to restore normal functionality to the platform and provide users with a seamless experience. It is recommended for users stay updated through official Twitter channels for any announcements or updates regarding ongoing issues.

In the meantime, while you are waiting for Twitter to be fixed, you can check other social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Mastodon, Tumblr, Discord, Reddit, and more.
