The world was shocked after a claim that the next showcase from the renowned E3 for 2024 and 2025 has been canceled, following the past two years' cancelation of the event. While 2023 was the only real cancelation of the event, 2022 was supposed to have it on an in-person event but was later moved online due to concerns about COVID-19.
E3's event track in recent years has not been something that gamers are happy about, especially as interested participants have not yet experienced it after the pandemic era.
E3 2024, Future Showcases Still Under Planning Says ESA
After the E3 2023 cancelation, the public expected that the Entertainment Software Association would recuperate from its events and organize one that would bring back the spirit of the E3. However, recent information plagued the future of E3 showcases, as according to ComicBook Gaming, it was yet again canceled.
Massive concerns flooded in after the news broke, but according to Stephen Totilo, an ESA representative that the team is still discussing the future of E3 2024 and future showcases.
As per the ESA's statement, "ESA is currently in conversation with ESA members and other stakeholders about E3 2024 (and beyond), and no final decisions about the events have been made at this time."
The good thing with this development is that the ESA is still planning and looking into having next year's event, but this discussion is an indication that there are uncertainties for its future.

Los Angeles' Announcement of the E3 2024 Cancelation
The Los Angeles City Tourism Board of Commissioners' recent meeting confirmed that E3 2024 was canceled, and this was immediately picked up by the gaming industry, where many have expressed their concerns.

E3 and the Famed Games Showcase's Past Events
The year 2020 was dark for all, and it canceled in-person events, with some not yet ready for their transition to the virtual platforms to bring their showcases to the public. That being said, the ESA has made good on its promise to bring E3 back the following year, with the company holding a virtual event that brought a lot to gamers during this time.
Apart from their video conferencing presence, the organizers also revealed that there is a mobile app available for those looking to enjoy more of the event. The app went as far as to bring an online portal to complete the virtual experience of the games back in 2021.
It was the same deal in 2022, as the company held it virtually to avoid any health problems.
However, it was tragic news for this year, as at first, many invited companies confirmed their absence from the event until it was deemed by the ESA that E3 2023 was canceled. It is yet unknown if future E3 events would suffer the same fate as E3 2023, with the famed games showcase seeming a bleak future ahead of it.
