In a post at the official blog of Ubisoft, the video game developer announced that it has launched the Hurk Deluxe DLC pack for the popular shooter, Far Cry 4.
The co-op DLC pack is available for Far Cry 4 on the PlayStation4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
Players that have previously played the co-op mode of Far Cry 4 will be familiar with Hurk, a non-playable character that also appeared in the previous installment of the series exclusively in the Monkey Business DLC pack.
The Hurk Deluxe DLC pack contains five all-new missions for gamers to play, including Blood Ruby, Yak Farm and Hurk's Redemption. In the missions, players will be accompanying Hurk to fulfill unique challenges that adds variety to Far Cry 4. Gamers will also have the option to play all the new missions on their own, though of course that would make it much more difficult to complete them.
Also included in the DLC pack are new weapons that the gamer can pick up, such as Hurk's harpoon gun, The Impaler.
The Hurk Deluxe DLC pack is free for gamers that have previously purchased the game's season pass. For gamers that have not purchased the season pass, the DLC pack can be bought separately.
A few weeks ago, Far Cry 4 expanded its gameplay with the release of the Escape from Durgesh Prison DLC pack.
Escape from Durgesh Prison, along with Hurk Deluxe and the first DLC pack, The Syringe, are all included in the season pass. The final two DLCs for the season pass, entitled Overrun and Valley of the Yetis, will be coming to Far Cry 4 at a yet unspecified date in the near future.
Overrun is a player vs. player multiplayer mode, while in Valley of the Yetis, gamers will gain access to a new location where they will have to defend themselves against incoming attacks by a strange cult. The frozen environment will be harsh to players, but that may be a lesser concern compared to the creatures that lurk in the caves nearby.
Ubisoft has recently sent out a poll to Far Cry gamers for ideas on future directions that the series could take, in a move that is similar to what the video game developer does for another of its most popular game franchises, Assassin's Creed.
The poll returned results such as a Far Cry game being set during the Vietnam War, in a return to Shangri-La featured in Far Cry 4, in an island full of dinosaurs, in a post-apocalyptic world and a sequel to Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon.
