Apple M3: Tests 12-Core CPU, 18-Core GPU, the Most on Any M-Series Chip; Coming Soon?

The new M-series chip from Apple is testing a better performance for its tech.

The latest development over at Apple is its current improvement on the upcoming M3 chip, and it centers on ushering a better performance by adding more cores to its CPU and GPU. This new upgrade is the most on any M-series chip from the company, and it is promising information behind the future of its Silicon-based SoCs to power its computers and more.

M3 is shaping up to be a promising computer chip soon and would be better than the previously-released M2 series, including its boosted versions, the M2 Pro and M2 Max.

Apple is Testing the M3 with Boosted CPU and GPU Cores

A new report centers on the development of the M3, which is shaping up to be one of the most powerful versions of the Silicon-based chipset from Apple and TSMC.

First off, this is speculated to be the 3nm process from its manufacturer and is expected to have a boost of power and better performance right off the bat.

However, Apple is not done here yet, as according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman via his Power On Newsletter, this new M3 Pro chip will feature as much as a 12-core GPU and an 18-core GPU that will expand more of its process, as well as a performance with as much as 36 GB RAM for heavy creative apps or gaming.

Gurman also regarded that the public may expect the new M3 by the end of this year, or by early 2024.

M2 vs. M3: Is the Better Performing Chip Coming Soon?

The chip's random access memory (RAM) alone is better compared to the M2 Pro version, and the M3 is shaping up to be the next-series chip that would deliver enhancements to Apple computers. According to 9to5 Mac, it was regarded that the M3 would first arrive at the MacBook Air 15 inches and that later computers would also get a chance to get the M3, but with its Pro version.

Apple's M-Series Chip and its Development

It was said that Apple is significantly looking to develop the upcoming M3 chips, one that would upgrade the semiconductor to bring a boosted performance that would bring more power to its computers. This chip would still be manufactured by Apple's long-time partner, TSMC, and it will use the company's latest development under the 3nm process.

One of the most recurring leaks for the M3 is that it will power the future MacBook Air that will feature an expanded display and size, with the device featuring 15 inches of screen.

Additionally, there is a rumor for a new iMac coming soon with the M3, speculated to be the performance version of the computer, the iMac Pro, or something equal to it.

Apple is looking to usher in a new era for Macs and iPads soon, and this will start with its development and delivery of the M-series chips to the world. The M3 is looking to add more cores to its CPUs and GPUs, and this is expected to boost the performance of the device, one that would be better compared to its previous releases, should it arrive soon.
