Launching Tesla Powerwall in Spain

Home batteries Tesla Powerwall has officially landed in Spain. According to a report from Gearrice, customers in the new market will now be able to contact one of the company's authorized installers from its website as they carry out the purchase and implementation of the Powerwall in their households.

Powerwall has been launched by Tesla for a decade now and despite that it has taken so long for these battery packs to land in Spain, this is good news for both company and its consumers, especially those who have an electrical installation in their homes.

Because of the high demand for the product in its home market, Tesla had to focus its limited production capacity in the United States and some markets where it could make the biggest difference due to the increasing electricity rates, such as Australia.

Homes in remote places where power outages occur relatively easily will never again experience power outages via Powerwall as it aims to reduce users' dependence on the conventional electricity grid, energy costs savings, and environmental impact reduction. This also allows users to store solar energy generated via solar panels photovoltaics for later use.

Tesla & Holaluz Partnership

This market expansion follows a new partnership with Holaluz, a solar installer based in Spain. As per the company's announcement, "Holaluz has been chosen by Tesla to boost its road map to build the most impactful green energy community in Europe."

Holaluz is one the leading energy transition companies in Europe that comes with an impact business model, aiming to decarbonize the economy. Electrek reported that the partnership between the two companies will unleash both of the potential electrical energy demands through scaling distributed solar and storage.

As of the moment, Holaluz has 12,000 home solar installations in the country and will now offer its users to upgrade them with Powerwalls. The company has also been planning to offer the home battery pack on future installations to new customers.

Just last month, Tesla decided to open direct orders for Powerwall after a previous strategy of making it available with a solar power system. The company decided to strictly allow orders when they are combined with either rooftop solar or solar roof orders.

But now that they have opened a new offering, it now starts at $9,200 for a single battery pack (without taxes and incentives). This will be directly from Tesla where they can perform installations once purchased.
