Respawn, the developer behind the hit battle royale title, Apex Legends, is giving players the opportunity to choose which Limited Time Mode (LTM) they want to see in a dedicated playlist during the upcoming season 17, Arsenal.
As reported by Eurogamer, the community has until May 8 to cast their votes for Control, Team Deathmatch (TDM), or Gun Run.
The Community Decides
"We're letting the community decide which Limited Time Mode should get its own dedicated playlist during the first in-game event coming in Arsenal!" Respawn tweeted, encouraging players to "vote before May 8 to make your voices heard."
This is not the first time Respawn has given players the power to choose what content they want to see in-game. The developer has always been responsive to the community's suggestions, making changes and additions based on player feedback.
In this case, Respawn is asking players to help decide which LTM they want to play more frequently, allowing them to focus on their favorite mode.
The vote results will be announced on Apex Legends channels on May 18, one week after Arsenal's release.
The new season, released on May 9, will introduce numerous game-changing improvements. In addition, to map adjustments and a new mastery system, August "Ballistic" Brinkman, the latest Legend to join the roster, will be introduced to players.
Season 17 Arsenal Ranked Overview
Respawn has announced a new update to the game's ranked system. The update aims to improve the competitive experience for players by focusing on Battle Royale gameplay and promoting teamwork.
The update includes a new matchmaking algorithm that uses a hidden Matchmaking Rating (MMR) to match players with others of similar skill levels. This new algorithm is more accurate than the previous ranking system, which relied on a player's tier and rank.

The new scoring system, Ladder Points (LP), will prioritize placements over eliminations, eliminating bonuses for kill farming. Players will now earn points based on their placement in the match, with bonuses tied to top finishes. Players will now pay an entry fee to play each match, which will also award them points based on their performance.
These changes are designed to create consistently competitive matches and promote teamwork in Battle Royale gameplay.
News from the Developer
Furthermore, Respawn has recently opened a third development studio in Madison, Wisconsin, as part of its plans to make Apex Legends a long-term franchise.
"At its core, this expansion represents Respawn's commitment to work with the most skilled, curious, and creative minds in the industry," Respawn's SVP of Operations, Daniel Suarez, said in a blog post.
The new studio will mainly focus on supporting the game's live service operations and will operate alongside existing teams in Sherman Oaks, California, and Vancouver, British Columbia.
The popularity of Apex Legends has continued to soar since its launch in 2019, attracting millions of players worldwide. Respawn has managed to keep the game fresh and engaging through regular updates, events, and LTMs, as well as introducing new Legends, weapons, and maps.
