The new Airbnb Rooms tab was finally released by the online homestay marketplace.
This new in-app enhancement will definitely help those who are looking for safe, budget-friendly rental rooms. Airbnb said that their platform was originally created to help users find a room in someone else's home.
Now, the company explained that this idea is more important than ever before, especially during the ongoing economic crisis. Because of this, Airbnb Rooms was launched; an all-new take on the original version of Airbnb.
New Airbnb Rooms Tab Finally Arrived!
According to The Verge's latest report, the new Airbnb Rooms tab is an option that allows users to find cheap private rooms.
Aside from this, the new Rooms tab will also offer better host transparency, which will really help interested renters to know more about the room/house owners.
"Guests have told us that they want to know more about who they're staying with," said Airbnb via its official blog post.
The company said that the new Airbnb Rooms can do this using the new feature called "Host Passport." Users can rely on the new Host Passport to know more about the host before they process their stay.
This new feature includes a larger photo and the details that host share about themselves. These include their school, their work, fun facts about them, etc.
Other Details of Airbnb Rooms
Aside from the new Host Passport, Airbnb also revamped its "type of place" filter so that users can easily switch from the Airbnb Rooms and other types of places.
This means that they can access Rooms, entire homes, and other rented places with ease. Of course, Airbnb also improved its privacy features.
The new Airbnb Rooms tab will indicate if the bedroom has a lock and other security accessories.
This new in-app tab will also tell you if the room has a private bathroom or if you will be using a shared bathroom.
