The latest bundle is coming for "Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0," and it is specifically available for the new DMZ mode that is now raising eyebrows as it seems like a "pay-to-win" item from the developers. This new pay-to-win item comes in the form of a skin that can be bought directly from its shop, and it is a must-have for gamers who are a bit clumsy upon their infil in the match.
Gaming has seen pay-to-win items that were prominent in the past, but these were discontinued apart from the skins, as it gives unfair advantages to those who have money to spare compared to those who do not.
'Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0' New Skin is a Pay-to-Win Item for the DMZ Mode
CharlieIntel spotted a new bundle available on Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0, particularly for the DMZ Mode, which centers on a new operator skin that has a "DMZ Effect" on it. This means that whenever gamers use it for the game mode, a special item will be equipped for their use inside Ashika Island, Al Mazrah City, and the Building 21 maps.
The said skin comes with a free Self-Revive Kit that will equip a player's loadout during their Infil, or when they are looking for matches.
It will only appear when one's loadout slot for the self-revive does not have one, meaning that despite losing it in the prior match, it would give players the item available from the very start.
According to ComicBook Gaming, Warzone 2.0 and the DMZ have been seeing many pay-to-win items available with skins in the recent Season 3 update, including another bundle with its cosmetic featuring a UAV that may reveal other players' locations several moments into the match.
Will this New Skin give Unfair Advantages to its Owner?
The Self-Revive Kit is available from different loot locations, buildings, and caches at the DMZ, and this allows gamers to get back into the match after being knocked down without requiring teammates to revive them. Warzone 2.0's new skin will give unfair advantages to those who own it, seeing as it is available only to those that can pay for this new bundle costing 2,400 CoD Battle Points.
'Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0' and its Experience
When Infinity Ward and Activision Blizzard first released the original "Warzone" in 2020, it was a significant experience for gamers and was regarded as one of the best battle royale titles in the world. However, the same cannot be said for when the developers and publishers brought its sequel two years later, as "Warzone 2.0" was plagued with mixed reviews.
One prominent backlash against "Warzone 2.0" came from Dr.Disrespect, a known Call of Duty and games streamer that is famous for his FPS focus and expertise. The online streamer also frowned upon the latest game mode on Warzone 2.0, which is with the DMZ mode, citing that it lacks the overall feels of a CoD game, missing footstep noises, and more.
Warzone 2.0 steps up as the company's designated Battle Royale and Multiplayer game mode for the different platforms it is available, alongside Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II. Its many updates and add-ons center on bundles that bring weapon blueprints, skins, vehicle wraps, and other accessories, but this new skin further expands its pay-to-win bundles that put other gamers at a disadvantage.
