Elon Musk Confirms Tesla Cybertruck Production in 2023

Volume production for the Cybertruck won't kick off until 2024.

After several delays, the Tesla Cybertruck is finally undergoing production this summer, according to company CEO Elon Musk.

The tech billionaire confirmed the news during the earnings call with investors on Wednesday, April 19.

According to The Verge, Cybertruck is now scheduled for production this year after over three years of delay. However, as Musk says during the event, the volume production for the pickup truck won't start until 2024.

"It takes time to get the manufacturing line going, and this is really a very radical product. It's not made in the way that other cars are made," Musk said.

Earlier this year, a separate report from Tech Times confirmed that the mass production for the Cybertruck EV would occur next year, which was true.

It should be noted that Tesla has presented the design of a Cybertruck with no door handles. Its doors are unique enough for everyone to guess where the owner will enter.

As per Engadget, this is what Tesla really envisioned in the past. The Cybertruck, a pickup truck made out of stainless steel, is expected to be more pricey than vehicles made out of the usual steel.

What's crucial about its parts is that some of them are custom-made such as its windshield wipers.

Futuristic Pickup Truck

The Q3 delivery event has left some questions to the participants regarding the specs of the Tesla Cybertruck. The futuristic design of the vehicle suggests that it's good for long travel.

Teslarati says in its report that its towing capacity can exceed more than 14,000 pounds which is something that is surprising for a truck.

The publication also notes that its range can reach up to 500 miles in just one charge. However, Musk says that the pricing and the specs of the Cybertruck are not yet finalized. They are still subject to change as supply chain problems continue to hit globally.

It's interesting to hear the good news that Tesla will be producing this vehicle soon after it was touted to launch in 2021. Unfortunately, that did not happen and was pushed to 2022, then this year.

In other news, Elon Musk has sued Microsoft after removing the ability of Twitter accounts to engage through Smart Campaigns. The lawsuit also accused the company of training the AI model through the illegal use of Twitter data.

The software maker says that the scheduling and social media planning tools won't be supporting Twitter anymore starting on Tuesday, April 25.

The announcement happened after Twitter said that it would charge users for accessing the programming interface.

By next week, the advertising clients won't be allowed to post tweets and communicate on the platform.
