Tesla Cybertruck electric vehicle (EV) prototype kept the massive wiper for its windshield, which has long been controversial.
We first saw the latest prototype of the much-awaited and long-delayed Cybertruck pickup last week. However, we also got a glimpse of its sides and rear, showcasing its new side mirrors.
So it made its front end a mystery until now.
Tesla Cybertruck EV Prototype Keeps the Massive Wiper
A new Cybertruck prototype sighting offers a close-front look at the all-electric pickup truck of the Elon Musk-led EV maker. So we now have an idea of how it looks facing front with its updated design.
Although Tesla made a couple of changes in its all-electric truck, Electrek reports that the EV maker still kept its "monstrous" wiper at the front.
The windshield wiper of the Cybertruck has long been controversial to some Tesla fanboys. The early prototype of the electric pickup featured a single, huge windshield wiper.
Given the unforgiving comments of observers, some assumed that the giant automaker would do something about its wiper blades. But the latest prototype suggests otherwise.
Drive Tesla Canada notes that the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Tesla, Musk, recently confirmed in a tweet that the Cybertruck is very close to its production design.
So the latest prototype sighting might closely resemble how the all-electric pickup truck looks once it enters production soon.

Elon Musk and Cybertruck's Large Wiper
It is worth noting that Musk previously stated that the comically huge wiper of Cybertruck "troubles" the billionaire entrepreneur the most.
The Verge reports that the Tesla boss admitted in 2021 that the Cybertruck "wiper is what troubles me most." He made such remarks in response to comments that ridicule the wiper blades of the EV.
Despite that, the CEO notes that it is quite difficult to look for an alternative design. He says that there is "no easy solution."
He has something in mind. But it can be "complex" to execute. Musk thinks the solution could be a "deployable wiper that stows in [the] front trunk."
But with the latest prototype, the large wiper is still there. The giant carmaker is seemingly still working on a solution for its monstrous wiper blade. In the meantime, it kept the controversial design.
It remains to be seen if the EV maker will keep this look until the Tesla Cybertruck kicks off production this summer of 2023.
