Thankfully, Elon Musk noticed the problem. The billionaire said learned about the unfair reductions in bonuses during the weekend.

Since this is a serious issue, the billionaire confirmed that he would investigate the issue.

"Was alerted this weekend. Looking into it," said the Tesla CEO via his official Twitter account.

As of writing, Elon Musk hasn't provided any update regarding his investigation of the unfair Tesla bonus cuts in Shanghai.

But you can expect further announcements from the billionaire in the coming days.

Reason Behind Tesla Bonus Cuts

Affected employees said that the bonus pay cuts were announced after the fatal accident at the Shanghai factory, which happened in February.

They claimed that Tesla factory managers told them that the bonus cuts were needed so that they could pay for the compensation related to the welding incident.

Of course, this disappointed many factory staff because their bonuses were being reduced for something they were not responsible for.

They stated that the automaker should not penalize them because of the company's liability problems.
