A new Tesla Cybertruck mega wiper test was spotted!
In this test, the electric pickup truck was tested in a wind tunnel to see if its massive wiper could efficiently do its task.
As of press time, consumers are still waiting for their most-awaited Cybertruck. Now, numerous tests for this Tesla EV model hint that the shipment date is getting near.
Some enthusiasts claimed that the one spotted in the mega wiper test was actually the final design.
Tesla Cybertruck Mega Wiper Test Involves Wind Tunnel!
According to Inside EVs' latest report, Tesla was seen testing the Cybertruck mega wiper at the Texas Gigafactory.
The video, which was captured by Brad Sloan, a professional aerial photographer and videographer, showed a Cybertruck preparing to enter a wind tunnel.
In the footage, you can see a Tesla employee spraying some water on the EV's windshield. After a few seconds, the giant wiper was able to clean the electric pickup truck's windscreen.
Aside from showing the massive wiper in action, the Youtube video also revealed that Tesla didn't follow its fancy double-hinged wiper design.
Instead, the automaker only integrated a single-arm setup, which is mounted in a spindle in the bottom-left corner of the windshield.
Because of this design, the massive wiper can't reach the top-right corner of the front glass. But, this will not really affect the driver's vision.

Other Cybertruck Tests
Aside from the mega wiper test, reports also spotted other Cybertruck tests conducted by Tesla.
These include the steel wheels and sensor tests. The Driven reported that a Cybertruck prototype with steel wheels and testing equipment was spotted.
Kistler, a force sensor manufacturer, explained that the sensors on the Tesla steel wheels were actually force transducers.
These sensors are used to measure the forces of the car tires. If you want to learn more about this Cybertruck experiment, you can click here.
