Standard iPhone models could have 120Hz ProMotion displays in the future.
This prediction was shared by Display Supply Chain Consultants CEO Ross Young (who is also a reliable Apple enthusiast).
As of writing, Pro and higher-tier iPhone models are the only ones with 120Hz panels.
If this is true, consumers can expect a better screen performance from next-gen standard iOS smartphones.
Standard iPhone Models Could Have 120Hz ProMotion Display!
According to MacWorld's latest report, Young's prediction states that Apple will start integrating 120Hz ProMotion displays into its new standard iPhones as early as 2025.

This means the upcoming iPhone 15 standard model will not be included in the integration since it could be launched in 2023.
Only iPhone models that will be launched in 2025 might be included. Once this happens, next-gen standard iOS smartphones could match the display efficiency of Pro models.
Aside from the 120Hz ProMotion displays, Apple is also expected to integrate its always-on display feature in non-Pro iPhones.
Since Apple is predicted to enhance standard iPhone displays, Ross also believes that the giant tech manufacturer will also enhance its Pro models.
He is specifically talking about the Face ID sensors, which will be integrated under the displays of new Pro models.
Is ProMotion Display Beneficial?
Apple introduced its ProMotion display technology back in 2017.
The tech giant firm explained that this innovation allows its iPhone screens to refresh 120 times per second.
MakeUseOf reported that this leads to a smoother visual experience.
In short, iPhone users can have better gaming and browsing experiences.
If Young's predictions happen in 2025, then there's a chance many smartphone consumers will transfer to iOS devices.
