It is an end of an era for "GTA Online," particularly for gamers who have a Prime Gaming subscription linked to their Rockstar Accounts effective this end of March. It was not revealed by Rockstar Games as to why they killed the support for the Prime Gaming link to the game, and gamers who rely on the monthly free cash flow and perks will no longer receive them starting April.
This also applies to the famed online RPG experience over at "Red Dead Online," whose service would end by April 3, 2023, alongside a final batch of freebies.
'GTA Online' to Lose Free Perks, Exclusive Rewards from Prime Gaming
A tweet from @videotech_ first announced the end of Prime Gaming for "GTA Online," as gamers will no longer enjoy the freebies linked to their Rockstar accounts.
According to a support document from Rockstar Games themselves, the developers are already ending the support for Prime Gaming on the platform. This means that despite having an active subscription to Amazon's Prime Gaming, users will no longer receive the perks and freebies that come with it, effective immediately.
Both Rockstar's online experiences for "Grand Theft Auto" and "Red Dead Redemption" are affected by this change, with the company not divulging the reason behind this change.

Final Freebies for 'GTA Online,' 'Red Dead Online'
Despite this, Rockstar Games is allowing one final distribution of freebies to gamers who have Prime Gaming linked to their accounts for both games.
"GTA Online" gamers may claim a free one-time award of GTA$ 125,000, to be credited to the linked accounts this March 31.
On the other hand, "Red Dead Online" gamers may enjoy a list of freebies coming April 3 or 4, 2023:
- (5) Gold Bars
- The Howl Emote
- A Select Colorway of the Buckley Hat
- A Select Colorway of the Rivera Hooded Tunic
'GTA Online' and its Experience
"Grand Theft Auto Online" is one of the most famous games in the world, with hundreds of thousands of users still flocking to the game for the experience and building one's path in the world of "GTA." It is also one of the ongoing supported games in the "Grand Theft Auto" franchise, as gamers await the successor of the famed "GTA V."
There were many events and experiences developed by Rockstar Games for its famed online RPG title, centering on the likes of the recent Cayo Perico Heist, dubbed as the biggest heist in "GTA Online" history.
Rockstar also developed one for the car enthusiasts, as the Los Santos Tuners event, where new cars, mods, tuneups, races, and more arrived in the game.
That being said, gamers need money to continue their operations and enjoy their quest to build their empires in the game, with Prime Gaming as one of the best sources to get free money, and other perks in the online experience. Sadly, this is over now, as Rockstar pulled the plug on this link, with gamers who have Prime Gaming subscriptions no longer receiving these freebies.
