The famous online game "Grand Theft Auto Online," is now plagued by hackers on its platform that could corrupt one's account and modify stats that could lead to an account ban or deletion. A famous "GTA" insider said that this is happening again on PC platforms, and it already caused several problems for other accounts in the present.
Moreover, the insider claims that gamers should wait for Rockstar Games to address this problem before going online via the PC platform, as there is a significant risk awaiting them.
'GTA Online' Hackers Corrupt Player Stats that could Lead to Bans
Tez2, a prominent "GTA" insider, has made it known that an issue is present in the online game from the "Grand Theft Auto" franchise. The insider was notified of this issue by a player and used his platform to spread awareness to the public who plays "GTA Online" on the PC platform.
To date, it remains unknown what vulnerability or bug led to this issue, and Tez2 claims that hackers can freely come and go to alter player stats by adding, removing, or modifying certain data.
In doing so, they create chaos and confusion in the game, which its system may perceive as a kind of cheating, and eventually lead to one's permanent ban or account deletion.

Rockstar Games Should Fix the Issue for PC Players
According to ComicBook Gaming, Tez2 regarded this new hacking scheme as an "extreme exploit" for "GTA Online" gamers. Moreover, only one entity can address and fix this issue, and it is the developers, Rockstar Games.
If you are playing on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, or the Xbox Series S and X, you are in luck as it is not affected by this security issue, isolated for the PC platform only.
'GTA Online' and its Connected Experience
"GTA Online" is a rather old game, as its base centers on "Grand Theft Auto V" where users may control their career track and story to whatever they like to do in Los Santos. The company regularly develops updates and different events for the game, delivering exciting modes and experiences that center on what "Grand Theft Auto" has to offer.
This is also the only game that receives updates and new experiences from Rockstar Games, as gamers await the sequel title from the famous open-world-esque platform. There is still no word from its developers regarding the "Grand Theft Auto 6," despite the many rumors and speculations about what the next game would be bringing.
For now, gamers would have to make do with "GTA Online" to get the same experience of grit, action, and game realism they crave from Rockstar. However, with an issue plaguing the game now, it brings a significant downside to playing the game, particularly for the PC, with no known fixes available now from its developers.
