Hulu on Apple TV, Fire TV, Roku Gets a New Look
These days, the design of a streaming app helps viewers look for what they want to watch. Unlike when cable TV primarily dominated our living rooms, its users spend some time on the interface of these streaming services.
According to a recent report by Tech Crunch, one of the most popular streamers, Hulu, confirmed that it has started dishing out a fresh new look for its users on various TV platforms.
Previously, Hulu users had to scroll to the top of the app to access navigation options like "Movies" and "TV" categories. It is quite annoying for some as they had to spend some time going to these options.
This time, the updated Hulu app is now available to Roku, Apple TV, and Fire TV users. The revamp introduces a new navigation option in the form of a sidebar on the left side of the app. It comes with handy options like "My Stuff." Users may also check out categories like "Movies" or "TV" depending on what they want to watch.
Some users started getting a message from the streamer as the new design rolled out. It says that "over the next few weeks, Hulu's navigation menu will move to the left side of the screen on living room devices."
How About Android TVs?
Besides Apple TV, Roku, and Fire TV, Hulu plans to bring the updated interface to other platforms as well, such as Android TV and Google Chromecast. On top of that, it should be on its way soon to other smart TVs like LG, Samsung, Vizio, and more brands.
So if you are an Android TV user or perhaps you have a Samsung TV at home, Roku will soon get a fresh new design. By then, it should start showing the vertical sidebar.

How Does the Vertical Sidebar Work
Unlike before, wherein users had to scroll up, the new sidebar is instantly accessible via a single click on the menu. To trigger the new vertical sidebar, they only have to click the back button.
Mac Rumors notes that a Hulu subscription now starts at $7.99 per month. However, do note that this comes with advertisements. If you hate ads, you need to spend roughly $13 monthly. With the new vertical sidebar, it gives new subscribers to jump in.
