Paid Twitter Blue Checkmark Rejected by News Organizations
According to CNN Business' latest report, various news organizations announced that they will not pay for the Twitter Blue checkmark.

Among these news companies include BuzzFeed, The Washington Post, BuzzFeed, Los Angeles Times, The New York Times, etc.
"We aren't planning to pay the monthly fee for checkmark status for our institutional Twitter accounts," said The New York Times spokesperson.
The official added that they will not reimburse the amount paid by their reporters for their personal accounts' Blue checkmarks.
This is also the plan of most the news organizations against the paid Twitter Blue checkmarks.
Celebrities Also Criticize Paid Twitter Checkmarks
Aside from news organizations, Business Insider also reported many celebrities are also against the paid Twitter Blue checkmark.
William Shatner ("Star Trek" Captain Kirk actor), Jason Alexander, Karl Urban ("Lord of the Rings" actor), and Martin Lewis are just among the celebrities who criticize Elon Musk.
Shatner even described the plan of Twitter's CEO as a "money grab."
"There's nothing wrong with money grabs if you are clear upfront. You aren't," the actor added.
Meahwhile, Monica Lewinsky shared her concern since she already saw verified Twitter accounts impersonating her.
