Because of this, those of criticizes the content were also affected.
Now, both supporters and critics of the "Trans Day of Vengeance" are angered by Twitter's activity. Twitter Trust of Safety Head Ella Irwin announced on Wednesday, Mar. 29, that over 5,000 tweets about the "Trans Day of Vengeance" were automatically removed from the platform.
Twitter Takes Down 'Trans Day of Vengeance' Tweets
According to WSPA News' latest report, Twitter removed "Trans Day of Vengeance" tweets and retweets because they don't promote violence.

"'Vengeance' does not imply peaceful protest. Organizing or support for peaceful protests is ok," said Irwin via AP News.
However, there's one problem. Twitter used automated processes to take down a large scale of the tweets related to the content. Because of this, even Twitter posts against the "Trans Day of Vengeance" were affected.
Due to this issue, lots of conservative Twitter users were disappointed with the social media company's action.
They said that Twitter rules were unfairly applied to them because they were only posting poster flyers so that they can speak out against the "Trans Day of Vengeance."
What is 'Trans Day of Vengeance'
The "Trans Day of Vengeance" actually has been around Twitter and other social media platforms for the past years. Many trans activists clarified that this content is a meme, saying that it doesn't promote violence.
They added that Twitter's removal of "Trans Day of Vengeance" tweets is a misguided decision.
However, a recent "Trans Day of Vengeance" post of a woman transgender woman holding a gun went viral. Based on the screenshots, the trans was holding an AR-15-style gun and wearing a Glock-19 pistol.
Alana McLaughlin, the trans woman MMA fighter in the video, said that the post was entirely defensive.
