Ford F-150 Lightning EV Price Hikes (Again)

The Ford F-150 Lightning is now one of the most sought-after EVs these days. After all, the American automaker considered it as its flagship all-electric vehicle.

But the pickup EV has received a couple of price hikes since it first got the shimmer of the spotlight. So it is now less affordable compared to its launch starting price last year or in 2022.

As per Reuters, the new base price of the electric F-150 is roughly 50% higher than its debut pricing. Considering that it is less than a year since its launch, the bump in its price was quick to inflate.

Meanwhile, according to a report by The Verge, the base price of the F-150 Lightning is now around $20,000 more expensive than its cost during its May 2022 debut. The subsequent price hikes that Ford applied in the past couple of months have led to this.

New F-150 Lightning Pricing

The Verge notes in its report that the "Pro" variant of the F-150 Lightning now starts at $59,974, roughly a $4,000 increase. It is worth noting that it still excludes other extra fees like shipping charges.

The "XLT" variant is reportedly safe from the latest F-150 Lightning price hike. It is still selling to the tune of $63,474.

On the other hand, if you include the shipping cost, the "Lariat" option of the electric F-150 now starts at $77,869. It is no thanks to the $1,500 in its pricing.

Meanwhile, the most expensive trim, none other than the "Platinum" is now nearly $100,000. Thankfully, it is still a few dollars away. The $1,200 brought up its pricing to $99,969.
