CAIDP (Center for AI and Digital Policy) claims that OpenAI's GPT-4 violates FTC's regulations.
Because of this, the AI-focused tech ethics organization filed a complaint to urge the Federal Trade Commission to investigate new GPT models that OpenAI will launch.
As of writing, GPT-4 and other similar artificial intelligence tools are criticized by numerous experts and organizations.
Now, CAIDP joins them by requesting FTC to probe OpenAI's GPT-4 for allegedly breaching its consumer protection rules.

One of the risks they point out is that GPT-4 could be used to generate malicious code, as well as highly tailored propaganda.
Aside from this, the tech ethics group also accuses GPT-4 of using biased training data, which could result in stereotypes in hiring and other similar activities.
OpenAI already confirmed that GPT-4 has potential risks. However, CAIDP argued that the AI company crosses a line of consumer harm, which should be investigated by regulatory action.
The tech ethics organization added that OpenAI's GPT-4 breaches Section 5 of the FTC Act; a regulation that prevents deceptive and unfair trade practices.

- Examples of how GPT violates the specific guidelines that the Federal Trade Commission has established.
- Expert opinions of risks arising from the use of GPT.
While others criticized AIs, some organizations, and companies decided to welcome the arrival of new artificial intelligence tools.
