Speculations about this new SoC began appearing after tech enthusiasts claimed that the iPhone maker is turning to capacitive buttons.

For those who are not familiar with the capacitive button, it is a button that doesn't move when pressed.

Although it is more advanced than the traditional control buttons, the capacitive button has one major problem. It will not work when the power is off.

According to MacWorld's latest report, the rumored Apple SoC is expected to solve the issue of capacitive buttons.

Upcoming iPhone 15 To Get 'State of the Art' Image Sensors From Sony-New Camera Upgrade?

Rumors stated that this new micro-processor can handle Super Low Energy Mode tasks.

This means that it functions similarly to how a dead iPhone can still make Apple Pay transactions and communicate with the Find My app.

Aside from this, the new low-energy SoC could also sense capacitive button presses and holds in a very quick manner.

This next-gen chipset is also expected to immediately detect its own version of 3D Touch while the iPhone 15 Pro is dead or has low power.

iPhone 15's Rumored Action Button

MacRumors reported that Apple plans integrated a customizable capacitive button into its upcoming iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max models.

This new button is expected to be similar to the Apple Watch Ultra's button. Critics explained that the new Action button could replace the Ring/Silent switch.
