In the latest report by 9to5 Mac, the latest iOS 16.5 Beta debuted a new feature for Siri, and it is to help users launch the iPhone's screen recording feature using their voice. Asking Siri to screen record would have the AI adhering to one's command and launch the feature to capture whatever is on their screens, available to capture.

This is currently under Beta 1 availability, and users who are part of Apple's beta program may enjoy this new feature.

Despite this useful experience, it is yet known if Apple will have it available when the latest version moves out of the beta and launches for the public, as it may not arrive with it.

How to Join the Apple Beta Program with iOS 16.5?

Apple's development with Siri is part of the subtle changes that Cupertino aims to bring for iOS 16.5, and if they cannot wait for several weeks to months for its public release, they may opt to join the beta.

Apple's Beta Program is available for both public users and developers, with the company inviting them to try out the latest features and provide feedback about the experience. Users only need an existing Apple ID to join, to get access to the beta program and the software which they requested.

Apple's Siri and its Development

Apple's Siri is still one of the top AI-powered voice assistants in the market, available for the iPhone to enjoy and utilize for all their hands-free needs and requirements for the smartphone. It joins the likes of Amazon Alexa and Google's Assistant to deliver the experience through the mobile experience and bring assistance to users.

In the latest iOS 16, Apple brought several new features with Siri to give users a more advanced experience with the voice assistant. One of its most notable features is to hang up calls using voice assistant, telling Siri to end or drop the ongoing conversation.

The only downside it has is that the other end may hear this, and it would be explicitly said, one that may be rude when wanting to get out of a conversation.

There were reports that Apple felt it was lagging behind the significant AI developments in the present, especially with the emergence of OpenAI's newfound fame with ChatGPT. Despite the many rumors regarding Apple developing a ChatGPT-like feature for Siri, these latest additions to the voice assistant bring concrete proof of what is to expect from Apple's AI development.
