Is Instagram's butt star Jen Selter the next big thing in fitness?

It appears that showing off your curvaceous rear in tight-fitting sportswear on Instagram can pay off as Jen Selter, the Instagram user who gained nearly 2 million followers because of her shapely butt, can swear.

The 20-year-old Selter signed a sports management deal with The Legacy Agency, a sports agency with focus on athletics and fitness, a few days ago and will join the league of baseball players and NFL stars as well as sports broadcasters who are represented by the firm.

The Long Island native, whose rise to Internet fame was driven by her "belfies", was already dubbed as "the next Jillian Michaels" and although she does not have any formal fitness training, the folks at The Legacy Agency believe she could be the next big thing in fitness.

"We believe she can be the next Jillian Michaels," said Andrew Witlieb, an agent for the TLA. "Jillian didn't get to where she is until her mid-30s. Jen's going to grow as a person, as a fitness expert, in these next years. She's here for the long term."

Selter's rise as an internet star was reported first by the New York Post on Jan.2 and this has apparently caught the attention of Witleib, who didn't wait long before signing Selter into his firm. "She was someone I never heard of that had 1.3 million Instagram followers, now 2 million, since the Post story," Witlieb told the Fox News. "This was a combo of health, wellness and fitness meets social media. This girl's really onto something."

Selter started taking photos of herself working out in March 2012 and has since then rose to internet stardom. She has gained 2 million followers on Instagram, over 500,000 fans on Facebook and 200,000 followers on Twitter, which include a slew of celebrities such as Amar'e Stoudemire, Johnny Manziel and Shaquille O'Neal.

Selter, whose Instagram handle is @jenselter admits she prefers posting body selfies. "I don't really post a lot of face pictures," she said. "I mainly do body selfies. Not that I care what people think, but they don't care. They don't want to see my face."
