Nreal Air AR Glasses are about to receive huge support from Microsoft's Windows, according to the company.
The official feature dubbed "Nebula" will bring a more immersive gaming experience to PC players thanks to the 21:9 display.
Nreal is Expanding to PC Gaming
Console gamers take advantage of Nreal by using its dedicated Air AR glasses for enhanced gaming. However, there was no official support for PC at that time and this made the company think that it was about time to bring a special update for Windows users.
As Engadget reports, the arrival of Nebula as the Windows support will pave the way for a wider gaming perspective among players.
With this, users can now view video games using AR glasses on a much bigger monitor. The ultrawide 21:9 display is the highlight of the update which will give gamers a better look at the virtual environment.
The setup will greatly benefit those who always want to extend their field of view, especially for open-world titles.
Enhanced 3DOF For Nreal AR Glasses
According to XDA Developers, Nebula for Windows will also reportedly introduce the "enhanced" 3DOF which stands for "three degrees of freedom" features.
There's another interesting thing going on here. By bringing these capabilities, gamers will be able to track their head movements to give another feel during gaming.
The 6DOF or the six degrees of freedom typically involves more linear movements for players. However, the 3DOF is more focused on static maneuvers suited for PC gaming including the roll and pitch movements.
"At Nreal, we are thrilled to see the growing popularity of Nreal Air among the gaming community, and we are committed to providing gamers with the best possible experience. As the gaming industry continues to evolve, we believe that Nebula for Windows is a game-changer for the desktop gaming market, and we are excited to see how it will revolutionize the way gamers play," Nreal co-founder Peng Jin said.
When Will Nebula Launch For Windows?
Nreal has not yet disclosed any information about the release of Nebula for PC gamers. If you see a report stating about its official launch, it's most likely that it's fake since it's not yet confirmed by the AR glass maker
Fortunately, early testers of the feature can experience the next-gen immersive gaming via Nreal Air AR Glasses during the upcoming 2023 Game Developers Conference (GDC) in San Francisco.
Neowin reports that those who have not yet purchased this wearable technology can go to the online store of Amazon. The pair of AR glasses cost $379.
