YouTube's AI-powered tools will soon arrive! This detail was shared by the new YT head, Neal Mohan.
Previously, various artificial intelligence made huge headlines after they were integrated by giant tech firms into their products.
These include ChatGPT and Bard. Microsoft recently announced that its Bing has been enhanced using the advanced chatbot AI.
Meanwhile, Google launched its own artificial intelligence, Bard. Of course, YouTube doesn't want to be left behind by this ongoing AI transition.
This is why Neal wants to make efforts to make artificial intelligence available in the video streaming platform.
YouTube's AI-Powered Tools Could Arrive Soon
According to Tech Crunch's latest report, Neal Mohan published his first letter to show his plans for YouTube this 2023. Among their efforts is the integration of AI-powered tools.
"The power of AI is just beginning to emerge in ways that will reinvent video and make the seemingly impossible possible," said the YouTube head via his official letter.
He explained that YouTube content creators will soon be able to expand their storytelling, as well as raise their production value.
Among the benefits that new AI-powered tools can offer is allowing creators to virtually swap their outfits. This will allow them to create a fantastical film setting using AI's generative abilities. Neal reassured that these new AI-powered features will be built with thoughtful quadrails.
As of writing, the YT official hasn't shared specific details about the new artificial intelligence tools. But, he said that he will announce more information in the coming months.
Other Goals of YouTube
Aside from integrating AI features, Neal also shared other things he will do to improve YouTube.
These include the following:
- Investing in technology, systems, and teams that can ensure a safe environment for viewers and content creators.
- Enhancing the podcast area of YouTube, especially since YT has become the second most popular platform for podcast listening.
- Improving features used to give feedback, such as adding language tracks, automatic captioning, etc.
