Apple has recently revealed its Bluetooth 5.3 listing this week, according to the filing. It could mean that the feature will soon be seen for its upcoming Mac products.
Although the Cupertino giant did not give a clue about it, this might be a little teaser that a macOS-related device is just around the corner.
Rumored Mac Models Could Have Bluetooth Support
According to a report by Macrumors on Wednesday, Feb. 22, there are rumors which point to the newest lineup of Macs this year.
Several news sites previously reported that there's a possibility that Apple is now gearing up for the new editions of the Mac Pro and the MacBook Air. The two products might be released around the first half of 2023.
The revamped Mac Pro will feature an almost similar design to the M2-equipped version released more than three years ago. On the other hand, the upcoming MacBook Air will boast a 15-inch screen. Of course, it's also coming with an M2 chip.
Macrumors writes that the tentative launch date for the two devices can fall in March or April 2023. Apple could coincide the launch of the Mac models with the arrival of macOS 13.3.
If they won't be released in the next month or so, there's a chance that we will see them at WWDC 2023 which will take place in June or later.
Apple Files Bluetooth 5.3 Listing
Bluetooth 5.3 support is currently available on existing Apple devices such as 16-inch MacBook Pro, Apple Watch Series 8, and Mac mini to name a few.
While it's uncertain if the Mac models will acquire this feature, it's more likely that the Bluetooth Launch Studio listings might resurface by the time Apple launched the new products in the market.
At this point, we could only wait for the future announcements that will be made by the iPhone maker in its press releases.
