Introducing a brand-new way to enjoy Spotify recommendations.

Are you tired of listening to the same music all over again? Spotify finally has the answer for this boredom if you want to explore more songs on the platform.

If you regularly stream music across different genres, you might likely need a breathe of fresh air and new melodies and rhythms.

Just like a disco DJ who mixes up songs and tracks from different timelines, Spotify's DJ feature gives you a more in-depth understanding of the song you want to play.

With the rise of generative AI, it's no wonder that the music streaming industry will also utilize it. It's almost everywhere globally, catering to the needs of various companies in the entertainment sector.

According to a report by Engadget, the Swedish streaming giant is now bringing more personalization tools to your listening.

Your weekly feed is not anymore limited to random tracks and "Discover Weekly," thanks to the new AI DJ. It's simply the latest update where you can explore some AI tricks on Spotify.

At the time, the company said that it was still in beta for select users in North America, particularly in the US and Canada. Of course, you should have a premium subscription to the app before you access it.

Spotify is Improving its Personalization Experience Through AI

Over the past years, we have seen how Spotify evolved from a simple streaming app to a massive music software for every listener.

When it launched Discover Weekly in 2015, the company already saw success in its plans. It then released another set of updates that will help users cope with their daily tasks and experience.

Your Time Capsule, Daily Mixes, Release Radar, and Blend are only some of the playlists that appear to be relatable to the music taste of the majority.

According to TechCrunch, there came a time when Spotify became a big hit in the music streaming industry with the loud noise that Spotify Wrapped generated. Since then, its rivals have tried to copy the same feature and launch their own version of the year-round music review.

Now with the help of AI, Spotify looks forward to bringing an enhanced "personalization experience" to all of its customers.

The case of the DJ feature is simply leaning toward the use of artificial intelligence. Although the firm mentioned that it's making a deal with OpenAI, it did not directly state that it's its official partner.

However, Spotify stated that the Generative AI tech of OpenAI is used in providing music insights to the experts and scriptwriters on the platform.

Aside from OpenAI, Spotify makes use of Sonantic's dynamic AI voice to bring "stunningly realistic voices" from scratch.

How to Use DJ on Spotify

Spotify wrote on its blog that early beta users can now access DJ on their Music Feed. Just open the app on an iOS or Android device.

After that, click the "Play on the DJ" card. The rest will be history once you tap the button. You will see a lot of short commentary about the artists and songs they released.

If you're on the vibe to listen to songs you have never listened to before, you can click the DJ button and it should tour you to a different list of singers and genres.
