Nothing Phone 1 Android 13 update is finally on its way to its users as the new Nothing OS 1.5.2 starts rolling out to its users.
Last year, the Android 13-based Nothing OS 1.5.2 entered its beta testing. And now, its stable version has begun dishing out to Nothing Phone 1 users in various parts of the world. The new update brings a whole lot of improvements and new exciting features.
Nothing Phone 1 Android 13 Update is Finally Here
Nothing Phone 1 users can finally get their hands on the Android 13-based Nothing OS update shortly after its beta release.
As per a recent report by Android Police, users across the world have begun receiving new updates on their phones, such as folks in the United States, the United Kingdom, Ukraine, and India.
It should start rolling out to more territories in the coming days as it looks to be a simultaneous global release.
What's New in Nothing OS 1.5.2
The new Notining OS 1.5.2 brings improvements in the iconic Glyph lighting of the Phone 1. The blinking mechanism on its rear now supports numerous new alerts and ringtones. So if you are bored with the previous options, you might want to check them out.
Besides that, it now has a new Weather app. And design-wise, it offers an Android 13 Material U look all over its icons.
However, The Verge notes that the performance improvements on the new update are one of the most notable changes. Nothing touts that apps now load 50% faster than ever.
Nothing founder and Chief Executive Officer, Carl Pei, says that they now have their own software team rather than outsourcing them. So overall performance improvements are seen across the new update.
How to Install New Android 13-based Nothing OS Update
The new Android 13-based Nothing OS update should automatically install on your Nothing Phone 1.
However, The Verge notes in its news story that it looks like the new update prioritizes beta testers.
So if you are still running the stable Android 12-based software version, you might have to wait for a little while. But it should be there in the next few days or perhaps weeks.
Given that, if you have yet to get the update on your Phone 1, do note that this is actually normal. Nothing is wrong with your device. You will have to be a little patient on this one as the first wave of the update seems to focus on beta testers.
Perhaps after the update has rolled out to users under the beta program, the new update might start rolling out to the rest of the crowd.
