Samsung Galaxy S23 Series Display Now More Energy-Efficient
The all-new Galaxy S23 lineup is debuting later this week. And as we closely approach its much-awaited release, Samsung has confirmed one of the biggest advantages of the new Android device. It is none other than its more energy-efficient AMOLED display, according to a report by 9to5 Google.
Ahead of the release of the Galaxy S23 on February 17, early reviews are consistently pointing out its impressive battery life.
It turns out that one of the reasons for its prolonged battery performance is its new AMOLED display. 9to5 Google reports that Samsung Display stuffed the S23 series devices with a new "low power consumption OLED technology."
Although it is more energy-saving this time around, it does not necessarily mean that it had to sacrifice its brightness. In fact, it did otherwise, it got brighter than ever.
Samsung Galaxy S23 vs Galaxy S22 Display Power Consumption and Brightness
The new display flaunts a brighter performance of up to 1,750 nits than what the Galaxy S22 offered, which is only at 1,300 nits.
Samsung Display further touted that the new display lowers power consumption right off the bat. It is roughly 16% lower than the energy that its predecessor used.
However, it remains to be seen if the same performance still shows up in real-life usage.
