Samsung Galaxy S23 Feature: Bypass Battery, Run on Direct Charging Power via Game Booster—How?

There is a way to save battery life and avoid heating with the S23.

Samsung's latest flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S23 series, debuted a new feature that has remained unknown to many until now, and it helps save battery life and avoid heating up while plugged in. This is through charging one's smartphone, and it would bypass the battery and run on direct charging power via its USB-C charger.

This is similar to the previous generations' removable battery setup, where users may detach their power cells from their devices and run on direct power like computers, laptops, televisions, and the like.

According to 9to5 Google, this feature is under the Game Booster settings and "Pause USB Power Delivery," which users may toggle on or off.

However, it may not be available for all, as the report claimed it was not available on the S23 Ultra, which they own. Samsung's S23 series has a non-detachable battery.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Features

Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S23 series to the world in the latest Unpacked event earlier this February, bringing the public the latest flagship smartphone series. The S23 was a treat for fans and enthusiasts, as it brought several iconic features and upgrades to the device, including its camera, UI, display, and more.

The device is similar to the design of the Galaxy S22, but one of its most iconic changes is its screen, which has a flatter edge by 30 percent to adequately accommodate the S-Pen use.

The South Korean tech giant also included interesting software and programs on the device, particularly its editing system featuring Adobe Lightroom as its native and official editing tool.

The Galaxy S23 series did not skimp out on features, despite centering on subtle changes on the smartphone to deliver the latest technology available to the world. Now, gamers are given a chance to thrive in this mobile device, where they need not worry about countless hours of gaming and damaging their batteries with this new bypass feature.
