Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra charges its battery a bit faster than its predecessor, the Galaxy S22 Ultra, in the first 30 minutes.
Besides outperforming its older sibling, the new Samsung flagship also flaunts a faster charging speed than the Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max and the Google Pixel 7 Pro.
Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra Battery Charging
Samsung recently introduced its all-new Galaxy S23 series, including the entry-level S23, the S23 Plus, and the S23 Ultra.
The S23 Ultra sports higher-end specs, including 45 watts of fast charging support, which we also saw in the S22 Ultra.
It is not an insane fast charging performance compared to the OnePlus 11 and the Xiaomi 12S Ultra, as per a report by Sam Mobile. However, it is still slightly quicker than its predecessor.
It is worth noting that the S23 Ultra offers the largest battery among the new flagship lineup of Samsung, rated at 5,000 mAh, Android Authority reports.
On the other hand, the S23 and S23 Plus are only rocking 3,900 mAh and 4,700 mAh batteries, respectively.
With that, the 45W fast charging support of the S23 Ultra charges its battery up to 68% in the first 30 minutes. Meanwhile, it takes nearly an hour or 59 minutes for it to fully top up.
However, it takes 1 hour and 11 minutes when users charge the device using the 25W charger.
Slightly Faster than the S22 Ultra?
Is the newer Galaxy S23 Ultra faster than the S22 Ultra in terms of charging?
Sam Mobile notes that in the first 30 minutes, there is a noticeable difference between the performance of the two flagship devices. It is quite interesting as both offer up to 45W support.
The S22 Ultra only reaches up to 60% in the first 30 minutes of charging, which is seven percent slower than the new Ultra device.
On the flip side, the full charging speeds of the S23 Ultra and the S22 Ultra are similar. Both Android phones take 59 minutes to get to a full charge.
Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max and Google Pixel 7 Pro Lags Behind
Meanwhile, Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max users have to wait for at least an hour and 52 minutes before it fully charges.
The Google Pixel 7 Pro performs slightly better than the iPhone, but it is far from the fast charging performance of the Galaxy S23 Ultra. To be precise, it takes roughly one hour and 49 minutes to fully charge.
