Google Bard, the new AI chatbot competitor of ChatGPT, provided incorrect information on its first day.
The search engine giant launched the new conversational AI model on Tuesday, Feb. 7. Google has high expectations with its new chatbot; some experts even dubbed it the new "ChatGPT killer."
However, after giving misleading information about the James Webb Space Telescope, Google still needs to conduct further tests to ensure its accuracy.
Google Bard Gives Incorrect Answer About NASA's JWST
According to Telegraph UK's latest report, Google posted an advertisement on Twitter to promote the new AI model.
"Built using our large language models and drawing on information from the web, it's a launchpad for curiosity and can help simplify complex topics," said the giant tech firm via its official tweet.
In the GIF provided, Google asked Bard about the recent discoveries made by NASA's JWST. The first two statements were correct.
But, the third one is false. Bard's third answer claimed that JWST took the first pictures of a planet outside the solar system.
However, this is incorrect since the first exoplanet photo was captured by the Very Large Telescope array in Chile back in 2004.
Because of the misleading information provided by Bard, the chatbot's efficiency is now being questioned by many enthusiasts.
Can You Use Google Bard?
Since the mistake made by Google Bard made huge headlines, many individuals will try to access the new chatbot to see if it really is inaccurate.
But, Data Economy reported that the AI chatbot is not yet available publicly. Only chosen beta testers can try the new conversational artificial intelligence.
If you are one of them, all you need to do is enter your question or inquiry in the chatbox and let Bard do the work.
