Xbox 360 Store Shut Down Notice
The support page of Xbox suggested that Microsoft is shutting down its Xbox 360 store in May 2023, as per a report by Games Radar.
The Xbox support page posted an article that goes by the title "Xbox 360 Marketplace update." The subtitle of the post clearly says that the video game store is closing down.
It says that "we will be closing the Xbox 360 Marketplace over the next year." Furthermore, the notice adds that "we encourage you to purchase any 360 games or DLC by May 2023."
Given that, gamers were alarmed that multiple 360 games are likely bidding farewell anytime soon.
However, the abrupt notice was quite suspicious and surprising for most, as Microsoft did not announce that it was planning to shut down the Xbox 360 store.
And this time, Microsoft admits that the notice was merely an error.
