Max-Out

The Japanese automaker will hold a month-long event called Nissan Futures in Yokohama, Japan. It will showcase interactive events and electric innovations and host discussion panels. The automaker unveiled a real-life version of the Max-Out EV convertible concept to kick off the event.

It's a two-seater convertible that is designed to provide a liberating sense of openness. The Max-Out will also deliver an enhanced driving experience.

The Verge reported that the convertible would include dynamic cornering and a balanced steering response with limited body roll. In turn, this will optimize the comfort of the passenger and driver.

It features a rectangular front end and a distinctive grid pattern that can be found on the hood and wheels. Then, the edges light up in different neon colors.

Unfortunately, Nissan didn't share any more details about the electric vehicle. This may also be because the production of Max-Out shouldn't be expected to happen any time soon.

A New Sports Car is Coming

A new sports car for North America and Europe is being developed, and many are speculating a preview of a GT-R successor.

It can also be recalled that the automaker said they will produce 23 new electrified models by 2030, and 15 will be fully electric. They also aim for a 50 percent electrification mix for their Nissan and Infiniti brands by the end of the decade.

In the US, the automaker plans to slow things down a bit, with a target of only 40 percent of its sales to be EVs by 2040. On that note, their Ariya SUV is expected to arrive in the US this year.

Nissan is one of the automakers that started electric vehicles with its Nissan LEAF in 2010. But things took a slow pace when it was only after 12 years that the company released a BEV with the Ariya that rolled out deliveries last gear.

The automaker plans to take a custom Ariya 17.000 miles from the North to the South Pole next month, but it is also exploring the idea of an electric pickup.

These plans are all part of their strategy, which was announced in 2021. The plans include a $17 billion investment in EV development and adjacent technologies over a five-year span.

This is not the first EV concept that the company revealed as part of its Ambition 2030-other EV concepts were the Chill-Out, Surf-Out, and Hang-Out, all digital renderings of concepts. The latest EV concept is the Max-Out, shown in its physical form.
