Samsung has finally expanded its self-repair program.

The tech giant debuted its self-repair program last year, allowing its users to replace various components of multiple devices, such as phones and tablets.

The Verge notes in its report that Samsung Galaxy S22 users can now repair their phones.

The tech news outlet says that Samsung has finally included that S22 lineup in the company's Self-Repair program in the US.

The renowned phone maker has teamed up with the repair tutorial and parts platform, iFixit, to launch its Self-Repair program in August 2022. It essentially lets its customers repair their devices at a more affordable price.

It reportedly lets users access necessary parts for their mobile devices. They could purchase components like back covers and screens straight from iFixit.

Not to mention that the program also includes information on how to do the repairs on its own. Customers could get their hands on manuals or repair guides that the South Korean tech firm has verified.

Initially, the Self-Repair program only supports select devices, such as previous-generation flagship phones and tablets. It includes the Galaxy S20 series, the entry-level S20, S20 Plus, and the S20 Ultra. The S21 lineup also joins the list of supported devices, including the Galaxy Tab S7.

And now, the Korean tech giant finally adds new devices to its Self-Repair program, the Galaxy S22, the Galaxy Book Pro 15, and the Galaxy Book Pro 360.

According to a report by GSM Arena, the S22 series is nearly one year old. And as such, its warranty in the US is about to expire. Well, except for Samsung Care+ members.

But if you are like most users, you will have to spend on future repairs once the warranty runs out next month. So how much would it cost to repair your S22 device on your own?

How Much is a Galaxy S22 Self-Repair Kit?

The display of the Galaxy S22 sells for roughly $167, which interestingly already includes a battery.

So if you are looking to only purchase a screen, there is no way to do so. Samsung has bundled its screen and battery together for some reason.

The battery and screen kit for S22 Plus costs about $199, whereas the S22 Ultra sells for $240

The Back Glass of the S22 lineup retails for $66.99. The USB-C Charge port is at the same price.
