Samsung has massive plans for smart home integration for its upcoming smartphone update with the "Matter Easy Pair," with leaks claiming to see the new system already in place. And while it is not yet available, this new feature would allow Samsung users to automatically connect to Matter-compatible devices, without the need to search for it.
Matter is going to be massive this year, with the smart home universal tool for all needs, and companies like Samsung, Apple, Google, and more offering their services to connect under one infrastructure.
Samsung 'Matter Easy Pair' Coming to Galaxy Smartphones
SamMobile's report claims that it saw the soon-releasing feature for all Samsung Galaxy smartphones that are eligible to connect on Matter.
This feature is called the "Matter Easy Pair" and it will help smartphones detect nearby Matter-enabled devices to connect to their devices for easy control.
According to the report, it will be similar to the existing Samsung app called "Nearby Device Scanning," a feature that uses Bluetooth and WiFi to enable its connection to the smartphone.
This feature will be similar to when Samsung smartphone owners open a new batch of Galaxy Buds or Galaxy Watch.
Update Releasing for Samsung Smartphones
9to5 Google claims that it will come in an update for compatible devices under the Samsung Android interface, under the version 11.1.08.07 of the app.
It is similar to what Android is also pushing for its Matter integration, with Google also focusing on its smartphone controls for the initiative. It is yet unknown when this feature would arrive for Samsung users, as per the leaks, but is coming this year alongside Matter-compatible devices that are growing now.
Matter and its Smart Home Integration
The smart home industry is getting a new universal automation feature under the coalition of different Big Tech and startup companies with the upcoming Matter system. It already confirmed its integration from last year to finally arrive for the world, after seeing a significant delay to its rollout that was supposedly last 2021.
Many companies have already announced their upcoming releases and integration with Matter, including the top names in the industry who helped build and collaborated to make it a reality. One of them is Amazon which will slowly integrate Matter into its smart assistant, Amazon Alexa, for its use in many of the company's smart home-enabled products.
Samsung also went massive with its announcements this year, including that of the Smart Things Station to offer a hub for all appliances and devices to have a single interface for all. With that, the South Korean giant is also empowering its smartphones to connect easily and seamlessly to Matter, with leaks saying that the "Matter Easy Pair" feature will bring its update soon.
