Microsoft revealed its latest subscription price called the "Microsoft 365 Basic," and it puts in all the essentials for a certain account to use for all their needs in the computer system. Instead of the previous $6.99 a-month subscription, there will be a new tier after the free Microsoft 365 subscription before jumping to more premium offers.
This new Basic tier offers 100 GB of OneDrive cloud storage, as well as ad-free versions of Microsoft Outlook, along with more offers from the company.
Microsoft 365 Basic: New Subscription at Only $2
The Verge's latest report brings the news regarding an upcoming subscription for all users under the new tier, Microsoft 365 Basic. This new tier would focus on getting the essentials without paying for a premium price, with Microsoft saying that it is available for only $1.99 per month.
This new subscription tier would have users paying only $23.88 annually, and features massive savings to its next tier, the $6.99 for the personal subscription.
Microsoft 365's Basic tier would already bring 100 GB of OneDrive cloud storage usage, alongside an advertisement-free Outlook with advanced security and encrypted messages.

When Is the Microsoft 365 Basic Coming?
According to the report, Microsoft would bring the new 365 Basic subscription tier by January 30, and it is when the service will be up and running.
This would also mark the occasion where Microsoft will drop the Office name moving forward, and focus on the 365 name as its famed productivity suite.
