Microsoft 365 Family Subscription advertisements start showing up to Office 2021 users, luring them into making the big switch to the subscription service.
To make it more enticing, Microsoft is offering generous discounts for its 365 annual subscription option in its targeted ads on its one-time payment software, Office 2021.
In this day and age, subscription services have become increasingly popular, going beyond streaming services.
In fact, software makers like Adobe and Microsoft have started charging their customers a monthly or annual subscription fee to use their services as they shy away from the perpetual license option.
Microsoft 365 Family Subscription Ads on Office 2021
And this time, Microsoft seems to be inviting Office 2021 users to also go the subscription route by giving away exclusive deals on Microsoft 365 Family, as per a news story by Bleeping Computer.
The ads appear to be enticing current Office 2021 users to get their hands on the Family subscription tier of Microsoft 365 for up to a $28 discount.
It headlines that the bargain deal is a "LIMITED TIME OFFER," giving Office 2021 users an option to redeem it in a few clicks.
The banner ad shows below the tool menu of Microsoft Office 2021.
Bleeping Computer says it looks familiar to users as the tech giant also uses the same yellow banner design to ask users to enable macros.
But instead of the "Enable content" button, the ad has replaced it with a "Redeem Offer" option.
However, at first glance, it sure looks like the same banner Microsoft uses for enabling macros in a single click.
Limited Time Offer for Microsoft Office 2021 Users
According to a recent report by Office Watch, the Microsoft 365 Family offers up to three months of subscription for less than a dollar.
The banner states that it is a "LIMITED TIME OFFER," saying that three months of 365 Family only costs $0.99. For that price, six people could share to enjoy the service.
The ad went on to boast that "it is like getting six subscriptions in one."
There are two options for the banner ad in Office 2021. Its users could take the offer by clicking the "Redeem now" option or selecting the "X" button to remove it.
The limited offer further notes that it is exclusively available to select numbers of Microsoft users. Thus, it would not work if they send it to their friends, family, or colleagues at work.
