Samsung Galaxy S23 Series Eliminates 128 GB Variants: Lowest Storage Option is Now 256 GB

The Samsung Galaxy S23 series minimum storage is now 256 GB.

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S23 series is expected to be a highly successful device that many mobile users are patiently waiting for. And now, buyers are getting more insight into the various configurations of the device that Samsung may provide.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 Series Memory Options are Now Just 256 GB, 512 GB, and 1 TB

Insider Ahmed Qwaider shared exclusive details to give us an idea of the amount of random access memory (RAM) and storage capacity Samsung will offer in its high-end devices. The standard amount of RAM would be 8GB for the S23 and S23+ models, with a storage capacity of 256 GB.

According to the story by Giz China, the Ultra model would have 12GB of RAM and three storage options: 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. Ahmed Qwaider's proposed specs give us an idea of the effort that Samsung has been putting into the Galaxy S23 series to ensure that it is one of the best mobile devices in the market.

Buyers Won't have an Option for Expandable Storage So Buying Memory Gives Them a Fixed Limit

With 8GB of RAM, Android users can enjoy a smooth and powerful experience, and with the available extra storage options, users can also save and store a large amount of media and files.

Unfortunately, expandable storage memory may not be included in the Samsung Galaxy S23 series, which limits the device's storage capacity, especially compared to its competitors. Nonetheless, buyers can be sure that Samsung has put the utmost effort into creating a device that can meet the needs and demands of mobile users.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Series to Launch on February 1 with Specs, Prices, and Features Yet to be Confirmed

The official unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy S23 series is expected to be on February 1. Until then, buyers will have to wait for Samsung's official confirmation of these proposed specs, prices, and features.

With a 128GB device, you'll get an estimated 109.5GB of usable storage. On the other hand, a 256GB device will give you about 225GB of usable storage. Depending on the device's size and other specifications, this might not be the most important detail.

Why 128 GB Might No Longer be Enough for Users with 4K Footage

If you need to store many media files like photos and videos, generally, 128GB is enough. But if you're someone who records and keeps 4K footage on their device, the 256GB option should be considered.

They are both reasonable options, with the 256GB being slightly more expensive due to the extra storage cost. Of course, one of the benefits of opting for 256GB is the future-proof nature of having more storage.

For Users that Constantly Record Videos, a 256 GB Option is Necessary

If you record video and need higher storage, 256GB is probably the better option. If you just need a storage device for average everyday tasks, 128GB should be enough.

A video by Simply Pops explains whether 128 GB is enough for most modern uses.
